Working with Otabo
KcLacs utilized the talent and experience of an industry leader in shoe design and manufacturing. Otabo founder, Howard Shaffer, launched his career as an early Nike employee. In 1978 he opened his own shoe factory and went on to manufacture millions of shoes for some of the largest brands in the world. He also dedicated himself to the pursuit of true craftsmanship and quality. In 2000, Howard founded the Otabo brand with the mission of making high quality handmade shoes that are luxurious in style and elegant in construction. The Otabo family takes pride in working with Howard on his mission and for being one of the few remaining American family owned and operated footwear brands in the world.
Through sourcing industry contacts, KcLacs connected with Otabo and utilized the high quality custom manufacturing services offered. Other Otabo clients footwear have been featured in GQ, Wall Street Journal and Robb Report. KcLacs will continue the tradition and standards represented by the Otabo family and company.
